Firstly, I own three Lennox outlets, so my advice is solid.

The flame sensor has a thin, white wire leading to it and is on the opposite end of the burner tray from the ignitor. Cleaning the sensor works almost everytime for a sensor failure issue. However, be sure NOT to use anything that will change the diameter of the sensor as that will cause it to never work again. If you can reach it, clean the burner that is directly in front of the sensor as well.

It did! Just took a piece of steel wool and cleane...

It did! Just took a piece of steel wool and cleaned the build up off the flame sensor (on ours, it was the metal pole that sticks in the flame)

Hi there!
Stumbled upon your blog when we were googling what is wrong with our furnace. We're curious to know if your cleaning of the sensor worked before we pay $$ for a repairman to come look at our furnace.
